Job Description

An IT Specialist, or IT Support Specialist, is in charge of setting up, managing and troubleshooting the technology systems that a business uses to maintain computer and software networks. Their duties include responding to hardware problems, updating system software and tracking the data and communications used on their network. They may also be required to provide IT support to customers.

1. Network Administration:
  - – Configuring and maintaining computer networks.

2. System Administration:
  - – Managing and maintaining servers.
  - – Installing and configuring operating systems.
  - – Monitoring system performance.
3. Database Management:

4. Security:
  - – Implementing security protocols and measures.
  - – Monitoring and responding to security incidents.
  - – Conducting vulnerability assessments.

SALARY:

R335,000 – R574,000 Per Year
